About

Our student jobs program provides job skills training and experience for at-risk teens and the children of our houseparents.

We provide jobs on-site at our Ranch and with our local business partners off-site. Our on-site model is to create a real-life work experience for our teens. Jobs are posted internally. Interested teens apply for a job, supply references, and have an interview with our Director of Transformational Care. Applicants are notified if they have been awarded the job, or their application has been declined. Once hired, they are trained for their position and have quarterly reviews where their performance is assessed. During the review, the teen is given recognition for a job well done and correction and instruction as needed. The model is implemented to mirror a real-life employment experience in a supported environment. Teens can receive incentive pay and promotions for good performance, corrective action, and demotions, as necessary. Wages and bonuses are paid bi-weekly. For the off-site model, we provide support services for teens applying for entry-level jobs. We have students working with a local grocer, horse stable, and small engine repair shop. In both models, teen input is pivotal to the process, and teens are encouraged to contribute.
