Dear, House Dads...

Father's Day is a time to honor the men who have played a fatherly role throughout our lives. Whether it be your biological, adopted, step, or what we like to call "House Dads," these men have taken a stand to caring and giving their unconditional love.

A couple children from both the Girls and Boy's home wanted to share a few words on why they are grateful to have their HouseDad.

J.T. AND LAMAR, THIS IS FOR YOU!

To Lamar, from the Girls:
Happy Father’s Day, Mr. Lamar.

You  are the best father figure I ever had. You are a great person to come and talk about the problems I have. I don’t know who wouldn’t even want you as a father. You are awesome. God bless you!!” - D.

“Dear Mr. Lamar,

You have been an absolutely amazing house dad these past few years. There have been many ups and downs over the years, but you have never left us. You story gives you an upper hand in bringing us up in ways of righteousness. You truly understand what we go through. What I really love about you is that you are always the voice of reason. All you have to do is wrap your arms around me and squeeze all the anger out of me.

This Father’s Day, I just wanted to thank you for all the time and effort you have put into me. You have been an amazing dad and I love you so much!” - N.

To J.T., from the Boys:
”I like his shiny bald head. I’m thankful for him and his corny dad jokes. He’s fun too be around and makes me laugh and I can tell him something and he won’t go around saying it.” - A

“I appreciate Mr. J.T. because he’s helped me to get organized and keep my room clean and teaching me a lot of things.” - S

“I like that he’s funny and can put a smile on my face.” - C

“I like funny jokes and he rides all the rides with us.” - S

“He’s awesome! He likes to do fun stuff with us.” - A
